Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) "Normal" boost and idle readings?

Truck starts just fine and goes into drive ok, but when I push down on the throttle it does not activate the fuel, it stays in the idle position, the truck moves but will not go faster than idle. Then all of a sudden something activates and I can get the throttle to respond. What could the problem be. It is a 2001 with 68,000 miles on it. The transmission is from bd diesel. Please send me an e-mail to -- email address removed --. Thank you.

Have you checked for codes? Sounds like it could be an APPS(accelerator pedal position sensor issue). Does it do the same in park/neutral?

Try resetting your APPS to see if anything changes.

2-disconect negative on batts
3-turn key on--wait 30minutes-1h
5-turn key off
6-reconnect batteries
7-turn key on and slowly press the pedal all the way to the floor then release it slowly back to 0% tps turn key off.

The throttle is fly by wire and the APPS is what controls throttle, sometimes recalibrating it will resolve the problem. If not a replacement is likely necessary.
