This week I stopped at my Dodge dealer and bought 5 qts of fluid so I could change it in my NV5600. (I've got an 03 QC 3500 HO DRW 3. 73 2 wheel drive with 23,000 miles and decided it was time I changed the fluid. ) I bought what the parts counter recommended, but didn't really read what the label said until I got home. Then, I noticed it says it is made especially for the NV3500 (fluid is MOPAR#4874464). I called the dealership and asked again if this was the right fluid to use. They said yes. They said their chart says this is the fluid for the NV3500 5 spd. and the NV5600 6 spd. , but that a different fluid is recommended for the NV4500 5 spd. Does everyone agree that I got the right fluid? (I haven't changed it yet. ) Doesn't it seem strange that a different fluid would be recommended for the NV4500? What do you other 6 spd owners use? Thanks.
