I have had the double deep pan on my truck for 5 yrs and I have seen the temp on my transmission rise above 160-170 maybe twice. The extra added fluid is nice. The pretapped hole for the temp sensor and the fact that you can just remove the drain plug to drain the oil instead of removing the bolts on half the pan and let it hang is convenient. The extra added bonus of the magnetic drain plug adds a little more protection. The only problem I have encountered is the first time I went to change the oil and filter I tried to use the rubber gasket that came with the filter. That was a mistake, the gasket kept slipping out from in between the pan and the transmission in the back right corner where it is real skinny (even with the assistance of RTV) when I would torque down the bolts. I ended up losing a lot of very expensive synthetic transmission fluid. When all was said and done I went to GENOSGARAGE and bought another 1 of the cork gaskets that they have available and it solved the problem.
