Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission question

My automatic transmission is overfiled . I'm guessing about 2" max above the full mark . Should I drain some?



Also on the first run of the day the transmission driving normaly , the transmission seems like it dosnt wanna shift into OD it eventaually will (no later than 10 seconds after it should?) and after that its fine for the rest of the day .





what should I do?

Check the transmission in neutral. Let it run a before checking. Must be hot. If it still is over full. Take some out. To much oil can cause aeration. The trans oil could get foamy. This will cause problems.
