hi all,
this is my first post. i bought my 96 last may, and had no problems until i took it swimming!
, well let me explain, a little razzing from a friend, and i drove my truck into a mud (water) hole. the water went over the bottom of the door by about 3 in. after it came out the transmission was slipping. i checked the fluid's and ,yep water in the transmission fluid. i had to drive about 10 miles before i could change to fluid and filter(auto).
the left side of the pan's bolt were only finger tight, well i changed the fluid 3 times in 2 days before the fluid was completely clear (red) again. that was about 3 weeks ago. about 4 days ago after pulling my trailer (15ft cargo)
now the transmission slips for about 30 feet from a dead stop, before i catches up. if i floor it it seems to catch quicker. it doesnt slip at all in the other gears. only from a dead stop? no burnt clutch smell in the fluid. it will slip worse when i shift from reverse into forward,
