Hi all,
I just installed a transmission temp gauge and after reading a few old posts here I decided to just remove the stock sensor and use that port. OD seems to still work fine and I will never be near 270* anyway so figured it was safe to remove.
It felt like the probe was just starting to bottom out as it became tight so I didn't really crank it down like I normally would an NPT fitting. My question is has anyone else had a problem with this setup and could it affect the fluid flow and transmission function with the probe in that deep? I took it for a test drive and everything seemed fine, but it seems like that probe would block the fluid flow too much.
