W/ my trailer full of two deck packages of presure treated lumber, (have no idea what it weighed, a lot I'd guess)I would see 200-225* in stop and go traffic. In lock up, 150-175*. Once it gets hot, mine usually won't go below 175*. HTH

You got a complete DTT trans, and didnt go for the trans temp guage? Well i wouldnt worry about the temps on the road, the only time they will get hot is stop and go driving,if you encounter a lot of this, slide ths shifter into N while waiting at red lights, this allows it to cool down some,With my 89% i have never, ever got over 210 hot line, and that was plowing in a tight location for 20 minutes straight back and forth,at 11K lbs GVWR. normal temps run 115-135 with my truck empty, and 130-155 towing,I seldom see over 160 ,for more than a minute or so,these temps are hot line,so the pan temps are a little lower than theses.

SNOWMAN i have temp gauge in hot line yesterday stop and go with trailer went over 200. I think i will go for deeper pan or bigger cooler before the hot weather.

As someone said, the temps will become higher in stop and go traffic, but on the road at freeway speeds you shouldn't have real high transmission temps. My transmission temp has never been over 190 F. even in the hot 100 deg weather, and that is pulling with GVW 16,000 lbs.

I do use synthetic ATF which has better cooling properties. I seen a 30 degree drop after installing the synthetic ATF.
