I just installed a new isspro transmisson gauge the other day. The sender is mounted on the supply line from the transmission to the heat exchanger cooler on the block. When driving the gauge reads 130 to 160 hwy. intown 150 to 190 degrees when pulling my 9700lbs fw it ranges from 160 to 230 is this normal temperature for the location of the sender?? I heard it will read higher temps. in this location?? 2002 Auto 4x4 quadcab stock.

Those number's sound right! Mine is mounted at the pan and I see about those exact number's. I think when you get around 230, it's getting a little too hot if I remember, and that's what kill's trans. is to much heat! Someone else might correct me but that's what I remember!
