Too high?
How much rear lift are you running?
If your truck's stock, it's quite a bit lower than mine, and I'm pulling about 37' of fifth-wheel with about 7" bedrail clearance.
30+ feet of TT can be a real handfull to back while 37' of fifth-wheel is easy.
Your real problem will be pin [hitch] weight - not overall weight - since, even with suspension mods, there may be far too much weight for your rear axle, much less your GVWR.
You might investigate the Glendale Titanium and Shadow Cruiser lines of light weight fifth-wheels.
Without going deeply into specific brands, I'd suggest going to a number of Consignment lots and dealers: Look at the older units of the brand(s) that you are considering and see how well they look when they've been around for a while.
You'll be surprised, and, perhaps, shocked, to find out how much wear and tear they'll show after only a few years. :{
You'll also be able to gauge their depreciation by the differences in prices. #@$%!
One additional recommendation: get a used 4+ year old trailer, in really good condition, built by a top-quality manufacturer.
You'll spend about the same amount but it will keep far more of its value since the primary depreciation occurs within the first 3-4 years.
Good luck with your search!
