Kurt,
Maybe not the case here. I look to this forum for the truth to make a good decision and not repeat a mistake someone else has made. I would hope other members view it the same way. If I wasn't happy believe me I would be screaming from the podium to prevent someone from making the wrong decision. #@$%! .
Too bad we can't test drive this stuff. Ride and feel is a very subjective thing. I tried to be extra careful to put things in context. So for others sake lets get it clear. This system has it's roots in high speed off road racing. That's the way they sell it. If you're looking for a plush Caddy ride you ain't gonna find it in T-Rex. It works best off road at high speeds. High speed is relative to the version they make. (Bilstein, Fox, or King).
My guess is that they found an added benefit on the Bilstein system that improved the ride on the type of driving that many of us do on the freeways over expansion joints. Improved. I asked Kent specifically to quantify that and he said some people think it's great and some people say they don't feel a thing. I talked to a few people and took the chance.
So we're just relating our experiences. Yes, I feel that my truck now rides pretty much like my Yukon and old Chevy 1500. That's fine with me and really all I was looking for in addition to washboards and rutted roads. Before the ride empty was harsh and too uncomfortable for the family. Now they're fine. Offroad - WOW!
I'm sure you can find others on this forum who feel the stock ride is marshmellow soft and we're weenies for looking for a softer ride.
What we need is a harda$$ meter! :-laf
Good luck finding a solution.
