Just got back from 5138 mile jaunt through Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. MANY thanks to member duluth diesel in the Duluth area who gave us info on ship tours and other attractions. Duluth was a full plate of fun. Got a tour through an ore ship, the William Irvin, a retired tug, and a retired Coasty Cutter. I mean, these were excellent tours, through the entire vessel. Saw the center lift bridge, and lunched at Famous Dave's BBQ. If any of you plan to be in that direction, don't miss Duluth. Trouble is, we need to spend summer in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Fell in love with it all over again. Grand Marais is still the sweetest little town in the country. Funny accents, though. Hard to understand some of the folks!
Great pasties, whitefish and baked stuff. I wanna go back!!!!
