Usually hitting a deer is a bad thing but I had one occasion quite a few years ago where there was some humor in it. After a really bad day of hunting and not seeing anything, my hunting buddy (and friend) decided he was going to drive around in a highly deer populated area and try to hit one with his station wagon. What they heck, I'd never been with anyone who WANTED to hit a deer so I went along for the ride. Of course, when a large buck did finally jump out in front of us from seemingly nowhere, my friend instinctively slammed on the brakes and missed it. But the car coming the other way wasn't so lucky; she got it. So my friend got his fresh road kill deer without actually having to hit it himself.
And in a related story, riding with another friend after a long night of being idiots, we drove right through a herd of deer standing on the highway. We were going about 60 mph and he just laid into the horn and locked them all in place. Maybe we should have tried to slow down but, like I said, we were having a full night of idiocy.
Boy am I glad I don't do these things anymore.
