Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Truck History

Hey all!

Been lurking for several months & just bought my 1st CTD. I was wondering if anyone knew how to pull up the DC history of a truck? I just recently bought a 1999 QC 4x4 LB & went to my local DC dealer to have them pull up the history of any & all warranty work done so I could possibly get some history on the truck & it listed (2) items under warranty but didn't give specifics...

(1) Recall

(2) Warranty work

Under the hood there is a sticker that shows the PCM was flashed but thats as much as I know about the truck & have no idea why it was reflashed.

Call up your local friendly stealer armed with the vin# of the truck and they will fax it to you... .

You might even get a little surprise like I did and find out that your engine warranty was voided because the previous owner had a fueling box installed... . :--)

Did that but it was non specific other than to say...

(1) Warranty Work

(2) Recall



With info like that you don't get any specifics... . Which recall was involved?



What was fixed under warranty?



Very generic. I would have thought that the dealer would be able to access that info from DC info & get some particulars on each item listed... .

They can. Mine did. Gave me a complete list and date of what and when, not to mention a list of everything on the truck as it left DC. Try another dealer.
