Well I think that was most of it. I still have a delayed wait to start light and the truck wont fire until it comes on. That would seem like more of an ecm thing to me tho? Other than that the truck runs great.

Thanks

Nick

Well CONGRATULATIONS!

By chance do you still have the replacement ECM from Bob Wagner installed? The WTS light problem could be due to a slight incompatibility between the replacement ECM and the rest of your truck's setup. Try swapping your original ECM back in and see if that helps.

Well, now we know what intermittent contact at the tap wire causes. No wonder there is no step for checking that in the tree. Aftermarket. Never even thought of it as being a point of concern. Learned something today.

Glad to hear you found the problem.

I'd have been dumbfounded when you tried the replacement VP and it cured the problem that was pointing to ECM.

Yep, we have all heard it before and here it is again. Check EVERYTHING you have added to your truck first. I thought I had but the wire tap got by me right from the very beginning. I almost did not catch it as it was I would have swapped pumps and thought that was it. The good news is that it sounds like i can send both the ecm and the pump back to their respective homes so I wont even be stuck with extra parts.

I would like to specialy thank sticks, Jlandry, Bob Wagner, and Chip Fisher for being so helpful and persistent working through this problem with me. This is a prime example of why the tdr is so great.

Thanks

Nick

It looks like the tap that came with my adrenaline was very hard on the wire and may have actually severed some of the strands when it was installed. I am guessing that time and corrosion took care of the rest. I soldered and shrink wrapped the area and hopefully wont have any more trouble.

Thanks

Nick
