Truck Pull! Western WI, eastern MN

Well it is time for our annual truck pull in Osceola, WI September 10th. This is a small fair, food, rides, beer... ..... etc.

This is the Osceola Sno-Goers fund raising pull for our local snowmobile club. As President of our club I will tell ya what I know. Last year was the first year for a diesel class. Diesel vs diesel, and they run last in the event, which means even though the event will start at 6pm you can still enter your truck all the way till the class starts, which is close to 11pm, but try not to push it. This year I am running my truck, pressure from the club members ya know?, anyway what I can tell ya is the weight class for us is 8000 pounds. It is run what ya brung. Which means, me as well, what you have done to your truck or what your horse power numbers are and torque numbers keep them too yourself. The less we know the less whining we have. Last year was sad to see the Duramaxs win all 3 pay spots. I am hoping that this will not be the case this year. I would love to see as many CTD's as possible there.

Now usually I am on the announcers stand writing down the distance, drinking beer, and handing out money, for the winners in there respective classes. All I can tell about the track is that it is clay, little slick and moist, but can dry out quick, since I have heard tires squealing as they are pulling. The sled is the Wild Rose, not a bad sled to pull, as I have not seen many trucks break pulling it. On the other hand it does have a nasty plate under it and when it drops, just "stop", no way are you going to pull all the angle iron it has under it anywhere.

The fee for pulling is 20. 00, pay out is usually to 4th place, but may only pay back 3 if we don't have enough trucks. So I hope to see many of you there, please e-mail me or pm me with questions, and please keep this thread alive for a month... ... ... ... . lol.

Truck pull August 6th

Truck pull August 6th at Ellsworth Wi. Two sleds with diesel class last. Weigh up to highest weight, last year 8400lbs. Pierce county fair grounds $20. DW

As far as adding weight to get to 8000 pounds I am sure it is fine, since the guys in my club are trying to get me to add so I hit 8000.

At least I have some kind of weight!

Lets go out pull some Chebbys and Ferds first! Then we can go mess with some Ricers! We might have to bring Tim with for that!

I know that the Rock has a fun race August 29th, they also have one on Sept 18th, then Oct. 10th and 23rd. Them are the last dates for the season for a fun race which is 35 bucks to enter and 45 min from my house. Should get Silver ram to go also.

Just wanted to bring this back up to the top. Still looking for a few more that may want to come and have fun. I know there are a few of us in MNTDR that could make it out. Where you guys at? Don't need to pull to just come out and have a good time.

i will prolly make it. hope i dont break something bad in the meantime. i have burnt oil(mud) in my five speed and grenaded the rear pinion yoke pulling this last weekend, and i have three pulls lined up before then.

how much will be the payout? and entry?

i vote no to front weight brackets, but i have ladder bars(and wont pull with out them).

keep us posted, thanks.

Just a quick reminder that the pull is this this Friday. I know if you make it by 10pm you will get to pull. So far we have a good crew of CTD's coming out either to pull or just supporting us.

We are still planning on heading to my house afterwards so we can get ready to convoy down to Iowa.

Just wanted to send out a congrat to Turbo Tweaker on first drag racing experience... ... . sounds as he had a blast beating up on the strokers. :-laf

Hope to see you guys there... ... ... ... J. P... ... ... keep it together, after this weekend break all you want. We can fix it... ... ... ... ..... lol.

i will be there. i didnt break anything pulling over the labor day weekend. next year you guys should come to Jim Falls, and see and compete there. it was an impressive show! there were twenty or so diesels. many were d-maxes. lots of power, i was prolly the lowest hp truck there.
