This just happened on my '01 24V so I want to see if it sounds like a simple and obvious problem befor I start to panic.
At cruising speed (55mph) the truck gave a big shunt and the check engine light came on, now it seems that at idle it is fine, running a WOT it is fine but in the mid throttle position the truck sputters and looses power.
Please tell me it is something as simple as TPS (throttle position sensor). I have had similar problems on various cars in the past that have resulted in there replacement. Is the 24V motor so equipped?
As it is late here on the west coast I will not be able to pull any codes until morning and hopefully find a diagnostics tool. Are these specific to the Cummins motor or will any Chrysler tool work?
