To start with the truck was running a little rough at an idle and just a little off idle and sometimes in the morning it took a little bit longer than normal to start. Sometimes when it would start it would run really rough for a few seconds and the clear up. So a couple of days ago I replaced the dry rotted fuel lines and replace the fuel filter and the truck hasnt run since then. I realize that doing this that I would get a bunch of air in the system so I cracked the bleeder on the filter housing and the injector lines and still nothing. I even thought I might have crossed the lines(feed and return) when I hooked them up so I switched them a still nothing. Next I removed the fuel heater and replace the gasket and pre-filter. I also replaced the o-ring on the primer button that was leaking. I even tried pressurizing the fuel tank while cranking. I am getting fuel coming out of the bleeder valve on the filter housing. Could I have possible had a lift pump going bad and it just isnt strong enough to prime the system again? Thanks, Kevin

OK, did you get a good amount of fuel there or weak with bubbles? Don't see if you mention the miles on the truck and if the LP is original.

Do a fuel pressure test. 20 psi minimum after fuel filter. At the same time squeeze the fuel return hose with pliers (do this if your fuel pressure is at 20 psi or lower) if pressure goes up it the overflow valve if doesn't go up or goes up slowly it is your lift pump.

When is the last time you changed the fuel filter?
