Just in case anyone is looking at buying a Dodge CTD and gets the wrong idea about how great these trucks really are, based on reading most of these posts. Just wanted to let them know that these are great dependable trucks. Problems are NOT common and we spend most of our time discussing ways to improve various components. Not how great our trucks are running. Until now :D . Anybody want to talk about how great their truck is :)

The only money we've spent on ours is for improvements. Ours is set up to pull a 5ver, not race, and I have it pretty much the way I want it now. No complaints whatsoever about the truck! :D

th' truck

so far, i'd have to name it ole reliable. always starts, always runs great, and sounds very good. love it more every day. almost NO problems so far!!

It is the old story, nobody remembers all those atta boys, but have one aw I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER, and everybody remembers.

2+ years and I have only had to replace an Air Bag Module (under warranty), and a fuel filter out of regularly scheduled maintenance.

Good to hear!!!

No problems at all eather... But I've only had it a week and two days. 750 miles of I love this truck! If this 2002 is as good a truck as my 1990 I'll be Happy as that pig mentioned above.

65,550 on my 01 and not a problem. This is my 5th Dodge/Cummins and never a problem with any of them. All previous had over 100k when traded.

16,XXX miles since End of Feb/begining of march '01

No real problems to report... 6 speed was a little growly when a few months back... have tried to duplicate the problem with no avail. So far so good!

30K

No problems with my Bad Boy, runs great, looks great, is great what a truck. You gotta love em. Plus great mileage. :)

Very Reliable

I've had six CTD Rams, and I've had excellent service from them. Each had a slightly different 'personality', different noise levels, slight differences in ride, and some differences in options/drivetrains.

But I've never been left stranded, and have always had good service from the dealers!!

My current truck is the first to be 'bombed', and it is now definitely my favorite of them all.

I'm sure that most of the CTD Ram owners have similar stories!!

I know what you guys mean, I am actually happy to go to work because I get to drive the dually, only problem when I get there I want to drive it home:D

Make some more room in the pen!

I have a whopping 14,000 on mine.

Pull my 5er quite a bit and have had

no problems !!

My friend at work wishes he would have

bought the Dodge instead of his Ford p/s !

he is way Pi@@'ed! :)

Just broke 30k and the only problem is the backup lights keep blowing fuses. I'll go to the dealer and let them fix it before the warranty expires. It's a great truck!

Drive Train Perfect, very good strong truck. Over all happy and have had alot of good coments on truck. Only problem is my kids keep bugging me to let them drive it all the time. 37,000 miles

Bought new truck in Jul 2000 and it's been nothing but trouble... Here's what I've had to do:

1. Wanted running boards so had to buy some DZ's

2. Wanted to protect the bed so had to have Line-X sprayed on

3. Wanted a cover so had to buy a Roll N Lock

4. Wanted to tow my fifth wheel so had to buy a hitch

5. Wanted to see behind me so had to install backup lights

6. Wanted a louder horn so had to install air horn

7. Wanted keyless entry/alarm so had to buy a system

8. Wanted more range so I installed aux tank

9. Wanted better communications so had to install CB and Ham radio

10. Wanted to know what the engine was doing so had to install gauges

11. Wanted a little more power for towing so had to install EZ

12. Etc... ... ... .

I'd continue but I'm just too mad right now... ..... :D :D :D

Man I hear you RJOL...

I love driving my "Wife's" truck. I let my friend, a confirmed Chevy man, drive the wife's truck. His eyes are still dilated. Now his wife wants to take it for a spin. Gotta love it.

BTW, since it is my wife's truck (another long story - dealers and a saleswoman), I'm doing all this for her!! Sounds like a McDonalds commercial. Anyway, I would think that I would have caused some problems with this with all I've done to it. So far, so good. I think it is a very well engineered truck, and the manufacturing was executed well. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't do it any differently - yet :)
