I forgot to post this here... so hopefully this will help another TDR member...
Today while it was raining cats and dogs I noticed a few drops of water on my back window on the inside. When I looked more carefully I found my headliner was wet and discolored (tan headliner). Not very pleased.
I looked in my online service manual suite and found this rather new TSB that was put out on June 21, 2023.
If you have this problem, take your truck to the dealer and get it serviced ASAP, because there are airbags back there too. Or get it fixed yourself. You can find the revised CHMSL cheap online.
Going to call service tomorrow to book an appointment. I am hoping they will replace the headliner as it was no fault of mine.

So I called my dealer and I asked them to take care of this for me. But because it's a body related item, not covered under the warranty, they would need to charge me $139 to look at it, and then they said they would need to work with Stellantis to figure something out with regard to the headliner. They also said that they don't have the part in stock and they would need to do a parts request which they said they had no ETA on. After they determine that it's related to the TSB, I don't have to pay the 0.3 hours labor to install the 3rd brake light or the cost of the part. I told them that "I'd think about it."
Well, I "thought" about it, and I called the other CDJR dealer, and they had one in stock that was manufactured in January 2023 for $32.11. So I drove over there and bought it, came home and installed it in 5 minutes, including cleaning up the mating surface. Now I got 3 extra 16w light bulbs out of the deal to put in the glove box. On top of that, it's supposed to be raining for the next few days that I'll be using the truck. It's peace of mind now that I got it fixed while it was dry out.
As far as the headliner, you cannot tell unless you look at it from a certain angle. The airbags are tucked behind a piece of metal so they didn't get wet/corroded, so those are good. I'm going to try to clean it up when I get some time.
Top is the old 3rd brake light with the bad seal. It was clearly leaking by the looks of the reflectors with water spots.
Bottom is the new 3rd brake light with the improved seal.
