Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) TST 3 or Comp? What would you buy?

I'm in the market for some more power. I'm debating between the Comp and TST PM3 w/remote. Please give me some pros and cons. Customer service would be a big issue as well... just in case something goes wrong. Thanks a lot. Clay

the TST will add more overall horsepower and is a perfect match to be paired with a MAD ECM. the JVD is as well. both are fueling only boxes. the JVD is a bit less harsh on defueling than the TST.



the comp has more quickness as a standalone unit due to its ability to add some timing down low.



Both paired with the MAD ECM, the jury is still out. i'm leaning towards the TST however. I have a TST PM3 off road or "competition" version.

Just a tst pm3 on an my 01 ho wasnt very impressive, but it wont be to much for your turbo, temp wise if your not insane with wot runs.

I am all for the Comp, although I have never used the TST Edge has good service for me and the Comp will eat any little V-Tec around here

With you 6spd the comp will drive smooth have power & timing at 1 price. The TST power is jerkly and you have to buy something for timing more money in the end. Edge COMP!

Sounds like the Comp is the way to go. I found some on Ebay for $520. That's the best deal I could find. Is there anywhere cheaper?

Not unless u find one used - ebay is bought the cheapest i've seen. I have a Comp and 2 weeks ago I sent it in to be upgraded to a drag comp. I Love the smooth power the comp box gives in comparison to the tst on my friends truck - very jerky and with the box up all the way then the throttle is bout like an on-off switch! Buy the comp!! well thats just my oppinion!

Doesn't Edge take care of that? I thought they have a 2 year warranty.

I liked the Edge Comp because the power delivery is alot smoother & smokes less. I have have tried both products & have also dynod both & there is very little differance to speak of. And their customer service is excellant.
