I have 2 egt gauges on my truck. The probes are both in the manifold just before the turbo. The TST probe is measuring cylinders 5 and 6, and Auto Meter is measuring 1-4. While cruising steady on the highway the TST will usually read about 50-100 degrees hotter on cylinders 5-6. This will change if I start to get into the power hard, or the transmission stays in OD lock-up and begins to lug. When this happens, the Auto Meter pyro in cylinders 1-4, will climb much faster than the TST's pyro on 5-6. As the temps start climbing quickly to about 1250 on the Auto Meter, the TST will only be about 1050+-. At this point I back out of the throttle, so I don't know if they ever even out. Has anybody else with a gauge setup like mine noticed this too?
