GWoody said:Richard, does your injector harness have the diodes in it, the newer harness don't have those, just a thought.
MikeS1 said:Just curious what your semptoms were with the old harnass because TST is telling me that is probably the cause of my 2750 to 2800rpm hesitation.
Gypsyman said:Tomeygun,
Since your a dealer can you find out if they still have the old programming on request. I can't seem to get anywhere with them on an answer to this one question.

Not a bad feature for the stock-turbo crowd... definately has it's uses1) Boost backdown, just like EGT backdown / defuel
Now THIS I would be interested in... it's gotta be a different box, though, right? I mean, we can't just expect a re-flash of the existing PMCR's to handle this... there's gotta be extra connections into the box to keep power to the ignition circuits. Also - what about compatibility with SKIM-equipped vehicles?2) cooldown timer... based upon time or EGT temp
Gypsyman said:Should have been about 6 months ago. Just prior to the latest update. It was when people were sending in the boxes and getting back the softer program and griping. So the date would have been the release of the softer program update.
MikeS1 said:I talked to Dan in tech support yesterday and he told me that he is going to look for the old program from when I purchased my TST back in April 04, I will let you know if he finds it because like you, ever since that 1st reflash my truck has not been the same. Mike

Gypsyman said:In the last 30 days I've had a total of 7 different systems on my truck from a system that was so old it had the ground wire on the timing harness to the brand new unit that I returned last week. Same problems with every one. The only common denominator is the new program. Even spent 6 hours at the TST shop with the whole staff trying to figure it out. One of the techs said that the new program is causing problems on about half of the '03/'04 trucks that try it. They finally just gave up and wanted to know if I could stay in town for the rest of the week and wait for the electrical engineer to fit me into his schedule. Couldn't sit around for four days waiting for him to "fit me in" so I just went on my merry way with the TST in the back seat.

Well, starts FULLY fueling at 12psi... which is why it can spool up those bottom turbos so much better (just ordered a box today with the twins program - will let everyone know on Friday how it works... and I'm no dummy - I'm keeping my original box, JUST IN CASEstarts fueling at 12psi
