Tommy,

Are you talking about the dual pendant setup that allows you to have the twins program and the single program in one box?

Maybe you should call Quadzilla. He'll send you a beta project and charge you for it, which makes less power, and you can decide from there if TST is for you.

Whine! Whine! Whine!

It is always something wrong or somebody else's fault. Man I think you need to cool out and just enjoy the site and quit complaining. Most companys take care of their products if you act human and treat them the way you would like to be treated. Nothing is perfect. Chill and do a little something about problems by your self

I do enjoy the site, I just can't stand that guy's attitude. He really gets on my nerves.

Timmy, are you serious? Quad has an attitude? His attitude is nothing compared to yours. I can't think of one positive remark you have ever made on this site.

Richard, does your injector harness have the diodes in it, the newer harness don't have those, just a thought.

Just curious what your semptoms were with the old harnass because TST is telling me that is probably the cause of my 2750 to 2800rpm hesitation.

Just talked to a guy at TST

1) Boost backdown, just like EGT backdown / defuel

2) cooldown timer... based upon time or EGT temp

Set cooldown feature, take key out, lock truck... walk away

Seems to cool to resist!

Tomeygun,

Since your a dealer can you find out if they still have the old programming on request. I can't seem to get anywhere with them on an answer to this one question.

No drivability problems at all. Just a slew of codes no matter what item we swapped out. New harness, old harness, I've tried everything. No change at all. I just neeed to find a copy of the old program as a final test. It's the last thing to try. After that I'm out of ideas other than a new ECM but the other boxes I run don't throw any codes at all.

Which old program?

The very first revision?

Cause that one made my truck shut down, and I was on the highway - That program was NO GOOD for me... .

Do you know the date you had the program??

Should have been about 6 months ago. Just prior to the latest update. It was when people were sending in the boxes and getting back the softer program and griping. So the date would have been the release of the softer program update.

1) Boost backdown, just like EGT backdown / defuel
Not a bad feature for the stock-turbo crowd... definately has it's uses

2) cooldown timer... based upon time or EGT temp
Now THIS I would be interested in... it's gotta be a different box, though, right? I mean, we can't just expect a re-flash of the existing PMCR's to handle this... there's gotta be extra connections into the box to keep power to the ignition circuits. Also - what about compatibility with SKIM-equipped vehicles?

I talked to Dan in tech support yesterday and he told me that he is going to look for the old program from when I purchased my TST back in April 04, I will let you know if he finds it because like you, ever since that 1st reflash my truck has not been the same. Mike

Mike,

Dan's the one who replaced Greg correct? I would really appreciate it if you could keep in touch on your findings. If Dan can locate the old program I'd buy a used unit in a heartbeat just to give it one last try and put it to rest. I'm going to be out of touch for the next three days but I'll follow up with you when I hit Anchorage.

I have a couple of other solutions, if you want to pm you can. I don't really care to divulge any secrets in the forums, but I think that someone should help you guys to not throw codes.

Quad

You've got a pm...

In the last 30 days I've had a total of 7 different systems on my truck from a system that was so old it had the ground wire on the timing harness to the brand new unit that I returned last week. Same problems with every one. The only common denominator is the new program. Even spent 6 hours at the TST shop with the whole staff trying to figure it out. One of the techs said that the new program is causing problems on about half of the '03/'04 trucks that try it. They finally just gave up and wanted to know if I could stay in town for the rest of the week and wait for the electrical engineer to fit me into his schedule. Couldn't sit around for four days waiting for him to "fit me in" so I just went on my merry way with the TST in the back seat.

Richard

When you say new program, is that the new twins program or just a new single program. I am planning on buying the TST but I just want the mild program. Are they having the same issues with it. Thanks for any help.

On my truck we tried every program they had. Even tried one that Mark swears doesn't exist but Greg wanted me to try. No difference at all, they all threw codes. I'm not sure what they changed but it doesn't agree with my ECM anymore and judging by the number of pm's and e-mails I've been recieving I'm not the only one. The "we've never heard of that problem" line isn't holding water with me at all.

new meaning - latest released program, starts fueling at 12psi (ie. the singles program/ regular program)

Twins program has sent a few stock turbo to "huffer heaven" :-laf

starts fueling at 12psi
Well, starts FULLY fueling at 12psi... which is why it can spool up those bottom turbos so much better (just ordered a box today with the twins program - will let everyone know on Friday how it works... and I'm no dummy - I'm keeping my original box, JUST IN CASE :))

So, enough of this... how'd the turbo come out??
