Some suggestions from guys who are running these boxes and some from any who have tested thes boxes.

1. What levels can you run this box SAFELY with the upgrades like I have(read truck profile)?

2. Anyone have cp-3 issues for fuel with bigger injectors with this box?

3. Is this box only going to be able to cool with twins, to use maximum levels with this box?

I am just trying to figure out where I want to spend my money at this point, I am going to add a set of Mach 3 EDM's when they are available, and wonder if I should wait for the new Edge box, just some input from anyone is appreciated.

Diesel Dynamics is working on a bigger turbo but don't know much about it right now. Others are doing some testing with a

hybrid HX-55. Everythings a work in progress right now.

I've not heard of anyone running injectors and the TST with much luck. Just too much fuel with the box turned up.

Stock turbo safely gets me to setting 4:4, with your Jammer turbo maybe a couple higher than that? I don't know.

In regards to the TST with injectors, for my situation it was no good. Granted I didn't have a new turbo or manifold, but even on low settings, the truck didn't like it. The engine would knock severly on deceleration. I also wasn't a big fan of the numerous codes the box threw. I have a set of twins on order along with a prototype box so I will see how that works out.

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

Lonestar

been running my TST for only a few days and even on 5/5 Mainly 4/4 this box will make a truck pull REALLY hard and in my case egts havent been a problem empty racing around town with just intake and exhaust. I set my egt cutoff at 1350 and havent even hit it yet.

So I take it not too many have been running injectors with this box then. Has anyone heard of what the issues where with aftermarket injectors and the box? What if you keep the settings low? like 4/4 or 3/3? Lonestar what is the knock you are referring too? I hit 1500 if I stand on it threw the gears now. I thought maybe just cut it down to lower levels? Anybodys input with some exp. It sounds like a nice box to build up with even if you can't use all of it now. Dunno??????

I have been running on 5/5 for awhile now. And about 3000 miles. I don't have any problems with EGT's but I am concerned on 5/5 for my turbo. I have the Phantom boost gauge that only goes to 35psi and I can hit that pretty easy on anything 5/5 and over. 4/4 seems similar to what my edge ez produced on lvl 4. Fuel mpg seems to be a little better too. But I have not had checked it for sure yet. Are the HO's handling the BOX a little better that the SO's????? I would like to compare finding with owners of SO's and HO's and see if there is a difference.

My H. O. runs great with the TST up to 5/6 (I'm not going to push it any higher until the clutch is replaced). Even at that level it takes a long a long time to get the temps up past 1200. On 4/4 it doesn't ever get hot. Codes are not an issue anymore either.

I suspect we may be better off investing in a new turbo, manifold exhaust etc rather than injectors so that you can fully utilize the TST.

I got my box re-programed (custom) I hit 66lbs of boost! That was on level 6/6. I turned the box way down for now. Its time to put the twins on! and o-ring.

I couldn't agree more. I wont put another PMCR in my truck, but If I was starting from scratch, I would go that route rather than the PMCR and injectors

Bye the way on a 7/7 run to 100mph, the egt's recorded at 1787* on my Xmonitor... THATS HOT

The noises I was hearing was a series of knocks accompanied by a "surge" in the rpms.

I still haven't figured out what it was, but it happened EVERY time I was decelerating with the box on any setting but 0/0.

The higher the setting, the more the engine would knock.

Good thing it only takes about 10 seconds to get to 100 eh? :D

So is it safe to say that with the injectors I will exp. an engine knock? Has anyone else experienced this with injectors or Lonestar you the only one? I'm not going to part with my injectors they were a very nice addition.

My SO handles it just fine. No complaints about power or egt's.

Just got mine on today and 4-4 real nice tried 5-4 and put foot down and my 35psi boost guage hit the pin that sits at zero almost instantly so I backed off and that was with the stock boost elbow, I can only imagine how high it could go with high boost elbow.

Cant believe differance from 3-3 to 4-4 and then 5-4

By the way my truck WAS an California S. O.

friend of mine just blew head gasket with tst and injectors at 47 lbs. boost and the dealer is saying it will cost him 7000 to fix im not sure of what all went bad as he is still in utah thats why i was wondering at what boost you need to o-ring the head my 02 HO can hit 42 lbs. towing 6000lbs. up a grade i have 26k and he had 13k on motor

I have a hard time believing that your EGTs are fine on all levels. Every person I have spoke with immediately notices the extreme temps generated by this box.

I would personally and will find a slightly milder box to run with my injectors.

I am running the EZ with my DD3's and absolutely love the power. I will probably try the new Juice (with my fingers crossed)

I can't say that anyone who runs the box with injectors is going to experience the noises, I know of someone else who is also experienceing the noises on an early box with no injectors

My EGT were fine probably because I could not or would not keep my foot in to long once I saw boost gauge go past 35 and tried hitting pin that stops needle at zero

The problem with big turbos is lag. That lag is amplified by fueling boxes because they won't start to add fuel until the boost comes up and the boost won't come up until you get enough fuel to make the turbo spool. Turbo science is more complicated than meets the eye.
