It bleeds off boost from the wastegate side of the elbow so it will close faster when you let of the power.

Would this work??? I saw this on another site.

He stated that he applies enough regulated air pressure to extend the actuator arm fully, then shorten the adjusting link till it fits on to the CLOSED wastegate pivot arms pin.

This wastegate crap is driving me crazy. :D

Alright I just put my TST PMCR on tonight I have a problem How do you hook your Edge EZ back up????? I want to stack both. I did not install that elbow because I am running DD's Jammer turbo, I dont guess or think I need it. I hit 39 lbs of boost with my current setup before this box is it going to cut the fuel back because of this 35 lbs boost fuel limiting deal???????

Hook you TST map connector the the map sensor first then piggyback the EZ. Mark said that his connector must be first off the sensor.

thanks, Bcarmicle also helped me out, thanks everyone, guess its time for a small amount of trial and NOT much error, scared to death of boost and my turbo not to mention EGT's must have my head examined for putting this on there with all the upgrades so far, here goes... .

Egads HotRam! With that setup you can make tons of power; enough to bust stuff for sure. Good Luck! Did you take it for a test run w/o the EZ stacked on it to get a feel fot the PMCR by itself?

Stacked 0-100 hp Quadzilla with the tst on my 03- Ran it on the 100 hp - 3x3 then 5 x3 tst settings - unreal smooth power - pulls hard instantly - clutch slips a tad .

Egts 50 hp Quad - 4x3 tst very good even over 100 mph

Its been raining here ever since I got it done, I done the road test last nite with TST on 0/0 just to make sure Edge on 4, turned TST to 1/1 put about 15 miles on it, just checking for codes right now, nothing so far , this box is one of the new ones so I hope the code issue is straightened out, hope so, I'm not going to try it without my EZ I'm addicted to all the power LOL. Update here in a day or so weather permitting.

I too have stacked the edge, my problem is that I've got to get the exeternal wastegate on to be able to stay in it. I can go well over 60lbs of boost, on level 6/6.

At the moment I'm running the TST on an otherwise stock truck (not for long!). Not setting it past 3/3; runs great; pulls hard; no codes. EGTs aren't a problem at 3/3 unless you keep it WOT for quite a while (10 seconds+). No clutch slipping at this point.

the exhaust wont do as much for you as a good intake

I feel both are necessary but intake first

on a stock truck , I saw no reduction in egt's with the exhaust

I did however see a reduction with the scotty 3 and quicker cool down time

this was all without the box

so I would assume it would be the same with the box, only more pronounced

and the exhaust would become more important as the hp increases

some may disagree, but this is what I saw with my last two trucks

Exhaust is a good thing, I'm not going to argue that but keep in mind the stock turbo has a 9 sq cm housing. You're gunna squeeze all that exhaust through that little hole and then tell me the muffler is too retrictive?

Get rig of the muffler but open up the intake first, it'll help your egt's more.

Agades,

It's an External wasgate that you put into the exhaust manifold. The QSB1 can accommodate a wastegate but you have to flip the manifold over( and use a manifold off an ISB 24v) so the turbo can have one. TheQSB1 will accommodate one, it will hit the block with it in its current location.

Drove my truck today, really at a loss for words as to how it runs TRULY incredible with this box and my other mods, I played alot I did venture as high as 4/5 on the power, it was off the hook, smoked, and the EGT's well they got alittle WARM, I can't wait to get a bigger huffer, to use more of this Bad A$s box, for now no more than 3/4 on settings, thanks for all the input guys.

I love the box

the only thing I dont like is the way my wastegate is working on my HY

the boost slams up to 35psi , then gate opens , boost suddenly drops to 30psi, then slowly climbs back to about 34psi (setting 2x3)

I know its the wastegate cause I can hear it through the big pipeline of an exhaust Im running

the upside is I wont have to deal with that little pewney HY for long :D

I wonder how the banks actuator would work with this box?

does anyone know at what psi the banks actuator dumps?

Putting the stock elbow back in will slow things down just enough the wastegate doesn't "slam" open. I put it back in on day 4 with the box for just that reason.

WASTEGATES

I miss my EZ elbow. I think I will maybe put it back in. EGT's are much more controllable and power is much more smoother. Or I might just disable the gate altogether and take my chances. I believe that if you use a little common sense that our turbos will hold up. But I know I do not like the TST elbow at all.
