There are a few proto-types out for testing purposes and they finally got the bugs worked out with the harnesses and are planning on shipping them out as soon as they get them in. All I can say is that this box ROCKS! You talk about come on strong and right NOW! Seems like no lag and that was on HP# 6 and TQ on 3. It felt like the transmission was going to let go the way it was so strong on the bottom end, and there was plenty of smoke too:D For those of you that dont have any modifications done to your clutch or auto, dont think you can run on a higher level than you really can. Dont worry though, even on the lower settings its WAY stronger than the pressure boxes are on the bottom end and mid-range and top-end too! I will post more as I do more testing with it. Oh, greg at TST said I could post stuff because its about to be released.

Sweet! The picture on the TST site of the box with digital gauges does not show a HP and torque number. Is this only a feature of the box without gauges? If I see one more post like yours mine will be ordered.

SRadke,

There is a small button on the controler that will bring up the HP settings and push it again and then it will bring up the TQ enhancment settings. Its on both styles. It also will bring up the EGT degree at which you want it to defuel.

rhino_50,

The main box sits under the hood on the fuse box,the hardest thing to hook up is the camshaft posititon sensor connector. You have to get to it from under the truck. I had to use a couple of flat blade screw drivers to get to it. Other-wise it real simple.

John

0 to 60 times are not that important for this, only in drag racing. traction and different vehicle wieght and gearing play an important role in that. It would be hard to tell right now because there is no way I could run in level 9. I'm going to get to DTT ASAP! All I can say is that compared to the edge comp or powermax on the 2nd gen to this, is that this box only on the 3rd gen is WAY more seat of the pants power! For just a box only.

John

With this box will have to put a new fuel pump on? how about a bigger turbo. What are your egt? I realize a better clutch. Sorry about all the ?. But I got burned on the first bully dog box that adjusted timing. That box caused my truck some problems. I have the latest box from bully dog and I really like it, but it is just a fuel box. I want to up grade to better box, but not cause problems with my truck. Thanks for response Rhino50

EGT's do climb really fast, but I cant do much more testing because its snowing here:( I would say that you will need a pusher pump if you maximum power at the higher settings. For towing you probably would be OK, again weather wont let me check more things to be sure, because you wont be able to run on the higher settings for towing. i don't think 1/4 mile or 0 to 60 times is going to tell anything, dynoing to confirm the power is the true measure. If you make WAY more power your 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times might be slower because of blowing the tires away. As soon as the snow melts and I can also get to the dyno I'll post more.

John

Oh I forgot, they have stacked a pressure box and did make more on the lower settings but on the higher settings nothing was gained due to that the pulse duration and timing were asking so much from the CP3 pump that there was nothing left in the pump.

0-60 and 1/4 times don't mean anything? Dynoing is the true measure? What magazine were you reading today? Have you hammered on it or not?

Towing?

John -

I'd like to know how the TST box does with a load behind it and if the egt's will stay in check. I live about an hour from you and would be willing to bring a loaded gooseneck flat bed to you if you want to test it. That is once the weather clears up around here.

Well i should have one on my SO this week and we will see how well it will make this sled go!The V-box worked pretty good and this should be more better!!

realsquash, if you read my post I had said what power level I was in and how hard it came on. I've been drag racing a long time and 0 to 60 tells you how good your suspension is working for getting the best traction and that is with the same power. True the more power the better your ET should be if you can hook up that power hence 0 to 60 times. A true measure of power is either by a engine or chassis dyno. BUT! by the seat of pants this thing runs way stronger than with the edge pressure box than compared to stock than a pressure box. WAY STRONGER! I will have to some major upgrades to be able to run on the higher power levels, done to my transmission that is. Then I'm going to but on my quick spool B-1 and injectors.

John

Floor it. Since you have a stock suspension could you just try the 0-60 so we could just see the "speed" results. Alot of us are wondering here, we are not trying to argue with you. We'd just like to get the feel for how much seat of the pants we will actually feel compared to the stock 0-60. Thats all. .

Nick

Stephen the stock 48re has been said to handle up to 400 rwhp... stock your truck has about 270 rwhp. with your exhaust and intake id say you may have around 290 rwhp??
