Yes I think the Piers modified stock turbo would help, but, with the power gains of the TST box it's not the best/final answer. It only addresses the compressor side not the exhaust housing. Basically you buy some more wiggleroom by having cooler air going to your engine's intake (I am assuming this is how the turbo reduces EGTs 150F or so). But you still have high drive pressures and trying to force all that HP out a little housing.
Like I mentioned in other threads the Piers modded 3G turbo is a good idea from basically stock to a mild box where you want to buy yourself some more wiggle room without a large outlay of cash, but, it's not the best answer if you want to "do it right" in which case go with any other turbo available with considerably larger exhaust housings like the Quadzilla, Qwikspool, PDR40, DD Jammer, Bell USB, etc.
