As far as the computer: it is not accurate stock and I reckon it is going to be less accurate with modifications especially if it doesn't "know" about them. The right way to figure this out is to calculate it by hand.
That being said, once you've done a hand calculation a few times, you will know how far off the computer is more-or-less. On my Hemi it was always high, mostly by 2 mpg but not always. I would have a good idea what it was going to be by looking at the computer.
I always reset the computer at each fill.
Right now I am doing a test with 4/3 on TST and 1 on EZ, normal driving. For me that is Bay Area commuting on freeways which probably compares to half and half city driving and freeway driving.
The computer is right now on 19mpg. When I fill up next time, I'll let you guys know what the hand calculated number comes to.
