Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) turbo blues

need some help picking out a different turbo for 01 auto 4x4 2500 currently have the stock 9. putting on edge comp box have 4 inch ex. no air box yet.

Where are you headed HP wise for your truck? How do you use it, do you tow?

daily driver is a 04 3500 work horse. so this one is going to be one to play with on weekend

You could go with a SPS62, good for up to 550 HP and drives nice. I have one on a 02 truck right now with stock injectors and a comp, it runs fine with the comp on level 1.

Do you still have enough bottom end? I have 3. 55 in the chunks.

Yup not bad. Your CR motor will spin it better anyway.

Jet pilot is right the 62 super is an awesome turbo. The spoolup is little slower than the stocker with stock injectors, but it will be awesome with a good set of sticks. If sticks aren't in your future... then a standard 62/12 will work great. Always look to the future & think where do I wanna go on hp? The super 62 will take you to 600hp & still be good where you are now. Check out htturbo.com or industrialinjection.com & all the info on turbos is written for you from what hp a turbo will support to turbo spoolup expectancy etc. & then call & talk to whichever company you chose... . tell them where you are headed & they will be very helpful & knowledgable.

If your looking for opinions. I really like my HTB2 I got from Ollie. It's a 12/62. Check my 01 profile for how else its set up. Spools great and drives easy.
