Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) turbo dead

Dose any one know a good place to by a new oem turbo? mine died!:{

Cummins since they own Holset.

But try looking thru the TDR magazine and calling(or check out their web sites) adivertisers that sell turbos they should have one that will fulfill your needs.

A stock 300S for $800 or less would probably be a better buy. Although you could probably find a used OEM for a few hundred bucks. There is probably a lot of TDR member with OEM Holset sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

I have Oem one off my truck if you are interested. it was takin off around 20k miles.

I'd buy either from a fellow TDR member that has been here a while or new before Ebay.

I agree, if you need to replace, may as well upgrade if you can afford it.

How dead is dead. My be able to have it rebuilt (new bearing and seal kit) cheaper yet.

More importantly, what caused it to die?
