Is this dirt normal for a turbo with 70K miles? Stock Fleetguard air filters and no sign of dirt bypass in the air box.
Is the hole that the red arrow is pointing to for the wastegate and can that be where the dirt is coming from if the wastegate actuator is leaking?
When spinning the turbo by hand (cold) should the it spin very easy and keep spinning or will it have some resistance and stop relatively quickly? Is any resistance a sign of oil coking in the bearings?
Thanks.
