I have a Garrett Stage 2 ball bearing turbo using a stock Dodge Cummins elbow to connect to the boost hose tube on the under side of the turbo. The small o-ring that sits inside the groove within the v-band clamp leaked terribly so I replaced it with a much thicker, square shouldered gasket. I think the Auto Zone part number I used was the gasket that comes with part number FF4425.
Unfortunately, I didn't keep reference to confirm the part, AZ doesn't keep records that long, and there isn't even an Auto Zone in Alaska. I'm moving this week and have to get a part up here immediately. My turbo had to come off to replace the gasket to the exhaust manifold and when the elbow was disassembled the gasket showed need of replacement.
I'm having trouble finding the Dodge or Cummins part name or number for that o-ring. Does anyone know where I can find that o-ring? Has anyone else ever experienced a leak there with a brand new o-ring? I was losing an obviously noticeable amount of boost with higher EGTs.
