Is the hose that runs from the turbo down to oil pan is a special quality hose? Also what is the inside diameter, it appears to be 1"

Yes it is. Dont replace it with something from your local hardware store. Get the correct part or you will be looking for trouble.

Go to the hydraulic hose place and get some high temp hose

I use high temp silicone hose for turbo drains, usually the stuff from Source Automotive. They have 3/4" and 7/8" by the foot.

it is probably 7/8" ID, and is special material, oil resistant.

Please provide your Truck or Engine serial number and I will check price thru Cummins for you.

There are some things that you can cheat on and some that you can't.........IMHO a turbo drain line is something that you can't, the risk is too high...

Blow that apart in the night at highway speed and buy an engine as a result.........by the time the oil pressure light and gauge catch up it's already too late...

Not bad when mine started leaking had to pay 38.00 plus shipping, as dealer wanted 62.00.
