With 172,000 miles on my stock turbo I am starting to see some play in the bearing on the intake side of the shaft. I don't have a dial gauge so I don't have any hard numbers but I would say I can move the shaft up and down about 1/32" to 1/16". it feels tight front to back with no toticable end play.

so, considering that it sees 40# of boost from time to time is it just worn out or do you guys think it's ok. I would rather replace it before it gernades and leaves me stuck on the road.

Maybe it's time for a HX 40 and some larger injectors:D :D

thanks

Mike
