okay i'm sure people have posted about this a million times... i searched but didn't find what i was looking for

I'm looking for an inexpensive turbo that i can get close to 500 rwhp from maybe more if its affordable, i'd like to run without any helpers i. e. anything except diesel # 2 (i only want to run on diesel fuel for now) :) any ideas are helpful thanks

Aaron

500 rwhp on a 35/40 hybrid?? Mine's HOT only at 350 rwhp. I think your looking at a minimum of a Piersefied HX40 or B1 etc...

I am not at 500 and my 40 from ADKINS DIESEL PERFORMANCE does not get that hot and I think there is a little more room to improve. Give J. R. a call or e-mail him at JRADKINSPAINTING@MSN. COM I think he is on vacation somewhere on the beach right now, but he will get back to ya as soon as he comes back to reality.

If you only want to use that 500 hp for a couple of seconds, then an inexpensive turbo should work fine. Unfortunately if you want to be able to actually use that 500 hp for anything much more, you're going to need to spend some money. If it were me I'd probably go for a B1.

Mike

The price for the B1 would depend on where you buy it, but I'm guessing that it would be around $1500 - 1700.

Hopefully someone who has one can chime in about how it handles 500hp.

Mike

yea i might just sae up and get the b1 then, i'd ilke to find out what kind of times and stuff it runs but i have read up on that one sounds nice :D

What kind of HP will the KSB1 run with a hx35 housing? Does the KSB1 come waste gated? How durable is the dz hibrid? sorry about all the ? but we need answers! Thanks guys

cheers

jack

Also if you turbo for 500 hp useable then down low will be bad.

Slow spool and little freeway boost. So it really depends on what you want your truck for.

What about the 380-400 hp range? I'm running a comp & dd2 & haven't tapped the wire yet, but some day it's goina happen, so I wanna be prepared. Still thinkin dz or ksb1-2 ex3. What do you guys think? Keep it flowin

thanks alot eh.

We need to know what you want to use your truck for. There will have to be a sacrifice somewhere to make the power you want.

from what I see anything over a PDR hx35 will start to hurt streetablity. Maybe a hx40 hx35 hybread at the most for good streetablity.

I do some towing but mainly I'm driving around empty. I'm not going to the drag strip, but some times I like to winder upa little. I can get the temps up there when I get on it though. I currently have a PDRHX35-12wg, dd2, comp(no wire yet). Just want to get ready for the day my wire gets tapped:--)

Try a 4" exhaust, and a larger air filter (AFE, Scotty II, BHAF). You may need to go to a larger turbine housing like a 14cm.

Hi Sticks, I'm already runnin 4" & a BHAF. I just don't want to change my exhaust brake(hense 3" down pipe). Should be able to flow quite abit through a short distance like that. Thanks for the Ideas, Keep them cummin;)

I would think that the houseing, brake, and 3" downpipe will hurt you pretty bad. There is not much you can do without loseing them too.
