Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Turbo Spec's?

Was just going over the the rig in prep for a big road trip. As I was looking over the turbo impeller (stock Holset. . 110K miles) I reached down to see if there if there was any play in the impeller shaft. There was. Not much but I could feel it.

What, if any, is acceptable play in the impeller shaft? I didn't get a measurement but could maybe get a feeler gauge in there and come up with something.

Page 27 of the HX30/32/35/40 manual shows how to take measurements and provides a link to the specifications.

Without taking a measurement I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not out of spec according to Holset's data sheets. Going to live with it for awhile though as we're on the road. After reading the first link I'm not even close to the wear and play they were talking about.

Thanks for the info guy's. This is a good excuse to start saving up for a new turbo.
