Which Single Turbo Upgrade will give me the most bang for the buck w/ the upgrades I already have on my 3500? I will probably be doing the injectors also but only small HP ones. Thanks
 
Are you going for towing or performance... or a combo. There are many turbos out there to choose from. perhaps a super stock 62 ss from high tech turbo, or a silver 62 from industrial injection. when i do my upgrade... . those are top on my list !

I want a combo & like I mentioned I'll probably be doing the injectors too. (50 or 90 hp)



Have you thought about putting on some arp head studs with those new injectors?... . also have u thought about the flux 2 from source automotive. For a little extra you send them your injectors and they break them down then rebuild em and with the new nozzles implace they fully test them out... . before they ship them back to the you. just a quarter for your thoughts... !
 
How are your egts on the sps 62. would they be lower with a 62/16:cool:



Once above say ... 10# of boost EGT's came down around 250-300* from the stocker. Imagine a 16 would be less yet, but being I tow heavy 90% of the time ( see previous posts) might be a bit of a trade off down low.
 
Hey MMeier, thought u shoud know i am from nellis afb. Anyway what size is your compresser wheel or maybe the turbine wheel meaning 62/71 like the silver 62 is a 74 which is supposed to get rid of turbo surge or so they say.

On my 05 CC dually 4x4 I ran a PS62-14 with 90 hp DDP injectors, stock exhaust with a napa muffler and Bully Dog programming. That's it other than trans work. It ran a 13. 04 quarter, 8. 2 eighth and pulled heavy trailers back and forth from FL to KY. As far as EGT's, I never installed gauges. . I know, bad idea. . As pricey as some singles are getting, a set of twins from Hellmann or Relentless using your stock turbo over a 3B could be better for you and not cost much more out of pocket. Just an idea. .

:eek:Man what a brave soul you are ... . no gauges... I've got a boost gauge from optix. . just saving a little money for the wiring and the housing pod. next spring i'll get the egt guage. . before i start bombing i want to know whats going on with my truck at all times... . say what kind of horsepower and torgue... with the those ddp and turbo setup... . ? I too am thinking of 90 horsepower from ddp or flux 2 from formula one diesel... . !

What transmission work did you have done?
