i was wondering what turbo i should go with? I was kind of looking at the dodgezilla turbo from city diesel but was wondering if i should go with one of the s300 turbos from peirs? any ideas would be appreciated.

How much power are you shooting for?

Under 300 rwhp an hx35 with 14 or 16 housing will work.

300-450 rwhp = a variety of s300 series turbos. Smallest being around a 62/65/12 to a Silver Bullet 66/73/14.

The size of the compressor wheel makes a big difference in spoolup.

If you want real rwhp estimate for these turbos on a 12 valve, go to any vendors website and knock off about 50-100 hp off their maximum ratings.

i am now considering one of htt hybrid turbos. he says my best bet would be an h charger with a 60/16 non waste gated setup. he also says this may be a little to agressive for my non intercooled setup. he wants me to send in my stock turbo and upgrade that. im looking to get some where in the mid 400 hp some day maybe 500 with propane. i just dont want to have to buy another turbo because i was over working the stock on again.

The problem with the stock non i/c turbos is the inlet and outlet are too small. You won't get the volume of air you'll need.

I've got an H1C with an HTT stage IV and a 16cm housing. I put it together myself, not hard at all. If you are looking for over 400hp, get a bigger turbo. I'm at 366, and am close to maxed out. I think I can get a little more with some better tuning, but I have to do it yet.

finally decided to go with the h charger hx 40 60/16 setup. he think it will be to much but i think ill have room to grow now. anyone else use this setup?

I have a HTT Super HX40/16 on my truck. It spools almost like the HX35/16 I replaced it with. It doesn't hit hard like a HX35 does. It is a smooth build up on the boost. With what you have listed for boost you are on the edge of the map range on a HX40. The map is 45 PSI. Do not push it over and do not bark it. Those two items it does not like. It can break a shaft.

If you like turbo whistle that is the turbo you want. The whistle starts at 1 PSI and gets louder the higher you go on boost. :D

got my htt hx40 hybrid on. everything went smooth except the turbo oil line isnt the same size. does anyone know what size it is and where i can get the adapter? thanks
