Katoom,

What really bothers me is there are some good folks who are going to pay big because they don't get this is becoming serious. And, good, bad, or indifferent, public websites are just that, and folks should use caution what they post. It's entirely 0privacy violation if your private email get hacked or private phone conversations get taped.

Believe me, after spending 41 years working IT for the military, I was briefed a LOT about the vulnerabilities and liabilities of posting on the Internet. All should remember violating EPA laws is a crime, and folks may not understand the rules and allowances the law has for gathering evidence. Most folks posting on websites have no idea the potential vulnerabilities they have. We think of teens ruining there lives and reputations, not so... adults doing it too.

FWIW, In both criminal and civilian legal actions, posts on the Internet can be used as evidence both for and against you. I wonder how many folks have read the user agreements we all agreed to when posting on the Internet.

Sounds like we see this differently and that's OK to have civilized disagreement.

Cheers, Ron

I do not watch these guys or support the show. I was only reporting the news. I really don’t watch any of these shows, except for Ian Rousell, and Dale Jr’s download. I LOVED the WWF, but HATE the WWE. I actually met the Macho Man Randy Savage once (a whole different walk ‘round the barn).
Yes indeed Diesel emission enforcement is getting big. The New York State opacity test is changing to be integrated into the OPUS computer system, getting away from the standalone “honor system” most states have now.
I really despise these tree huggers looking for any avenue to push their agenda. It’s just like any leftist ideology.

Wether you are a fan of the show or not it's bad news. Once The ignoramus coal rollers that attract attention through plumes of smoke are all snuffed out the next crowd on the hit list will be likes of the car cruiser scene. Cars and coffee, Saturday night drive ins, run what ya brung, etc. are all at risk. How many parts does the likes of Summit, JEGS, etc sell that are emissions/CARB compliant? I'll wager someone a pretty penny the list is extremely small.

I'm not sure why people hate these guys... o_O Why isnt the EPA going after Hollywood for all the Fast and Furious movies encouraging people to modify their gasoline cars? When is PETA going to start fining hunting shows for hurting someones feels? Are we going to be that kinda of society? If this is what people want then go visit the UK for awhile and you'll start to understand what its like when society is constantly monitored and neutered at every move. Everyone has a dull glow about them because Government shadows their lives.

Hey, I'm no fan of "rolling coal" but its just a frigging TV show... Grow up peeps. There's bigger issues out there in the world worthy of your attention.
I've always enjoyed the show but publicizing the act of defeating emissions equipment wasn't a bright move. I'm with Diesel Dave questioning why the vast majority of the fine is going to the EPA?

While riding my road bicycle, I was consumed in smoke by some idiot who thought it would be funny to smoke a cyclist. As far as I'm concerned, bring on the EPA. People are too stupid for their own good.
