WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!! BABY!
Let's not get really riled up here. (ususally I start the fights anyhow).
But, John, I think what HVAC is trying to say, is that the manifold is banging the door on the House that holds the "Law of diminishing Returns" (also known as the shed where "BAng for your Buck" hangs around). Anyhow, it is probably not worth the money on a standard across the board. Now we all have heard the guys that are taking stock rigs and throwing a Scotty K&N in and raving about the sore back they have from the seat. But we really know this isn't true.
But, the Scotty, in combination with other items, TST plate, Horton cluytch fan, Bigger/smaller turbo, BANKS Twin Ram, etc, all are adding there small part into the greater equation from stock. You have to remeber, once you make the ultimate power upgrade of more fuel, these fluff items are never going to give you the same rush. They will maybe add just a little more, that seperate on a stock engine, won't make a difference, but part of the bigger equation will.
Spend your money the way you will. Actually, I liked the looks of the Intake also. Why would you buy the chrome kit fome cummins??? It doens't get you anything except looks. No performance, then why would someone spend the money.
I guess what I'm saying is enjoy your truck. I really am, but since I have done just about everything to mine, I have decided that the wave of the new millenium in truck accessories is going to be curb feelers and dingle balls. Group purchase anyone
