Kevin, I don't know if this will help you but here's what I know... The 4" BD brake is run on vacuum, not compressed air. The brake is located in a straight section of the pipe, not a turbo mount. I think that you would be better off selling the pac brake and getting a 4" BD rather than attempting to use a 3" brake in a 4" exhaust (if I was reading your post correctly). I would have to wonder how the restriction, from 4" to 3", would perform in the area of spool up and egt. reduction, in regards to the use of a 3" pac brake on a 4" exhaust. If I misread your last post, I apologize in advance. Hope this helps. I can tell you that you would not be disappointed in the performance of the 4" BD. It is a little on the "pricey" side.
