BPonci,

I am curious why you needed to use two wastegates? I'm guessing the OEM gate did not bypass enough air. Could not have the OEM gate been opened up a bit to solve that problem? Thanks.

I will be using a 14 housing with a PDR modified wastegate, This hole system will be a PDR kit and will be available just like I have it. This will keep the cost down for the guys that want twins for towing and not big top end horse power.

i also have a hx35 12cm and a PDR 40 16cm and im wondering what would be the way i could eliminate my lag as much as possible, which turbo set up that is, im already ordering a cam when i have time to install it.

The reason i use 2 wastegates is to stage the chargers in how they light off. I started out with a 35/12 on top so the drive pressure was out of site at 60 psi boost. I use regulaters to control pressure to both wastegates. Its really nice to be able to make changes with a twist of a Knob. Works for me but like some say im weird!Stop it Jimmy. Oh behave!

thanks for all the input!!!! i am looking at a stock HX-35 12cm wastegated with some kind of external wastegate? don't know who's. a HT3B with a 26 housing 3. 5 or 4" cold pipe? i want to build them myself for the hands on they will be for a friend. truck is a 02 HO 6spd with a powermax 3 120hp TST box stack with Van Aaken bully dog 4 120hp injectors soon to trade for Don M's machs. . ATS manifold. KSB1 made 436hp what do you all think

There are some pictures in my readers rigs section. I love my twins. It is a stock HX35 with an HT3B. I believe it has the 26mm housing. I limit boost to 55psi with just the spring in the wastegate. Then if I want more boost I run boost pressure to the top of the waste gate. I tow a slide in and a boat and it just flies. It feels like it will twist the truck when I really get on it at slow speeds.

Have Fun

Hey Jon do you have the stock head gasket?

sorry but. . what are weld-ells? i was told NOT to use reg. exhaust pipe is the weld-ells thicker and do most of you build a bracket to hold the HT3B? or just hang it off the top turbo? THANKS

i doubt he has the stock one, it should be oringed with that much boost.

The reason I ask is that I can run 55 lbs with the stock gasket and I really want to know the limit so I can adjust these turbos for the towing guys so that they don't need the extra expense of the o ring job which is a lot.

weld-ells or butt-weld pipe... Usually schedule 40 steel pipe with no internal or external threading, also beveled on the ends to make welding easier.

Matt, got the pipe... is the 40 flange strong enough or should a new one be made from 3/8 steel??

BPINE, me among others, will proably agree, that that psi is border line and anytime (IMO) i am borderline on something that could cause even bigger problems, i do it anyways to be on the safe side so you either need to get into the 40s or suggest the oring.
