Yesterday I changed up the heater lines to get them away from the wastegate down pipe that was too hot, basically all I did was remove them and cut the bend out and tig them back together, this is were the Tig came into play as the pipes required very low heat to weld.

Then today I tied the wastegate flex pipe into the exhaust, way back so I could remove the exhaust or flex pipe without moving the other or cutting anything up... . Nope that's not an optical illusion, it's a 1. 5" pipe in to a 5" sewer pipe exhaust.

Kinda sounds cool listening to the turbo at full boost now:D

Then one last shot of the underhood after moving the regulating valve. I stayed with one Battery but it is a hoss at 1050 cranking and 950 C/C, had to modify the battery box to accomidate it and the ground wire is almost too short to work.

Thought I would bring this to the top again for those that lost it, I have 3K or so on the Twins now and love them even more. I have checked drive pressure at 1 to 1 and I'm pleased with it but it could be better. I have noticed after the drive to Kerrville that the Twins are touchy to changes in Elevation, Temp and Humidity, going down there I made runs at 60 or so PSI and the EGT's were at 1300, then while at Kerrville I made 100 MPH passes with the gauge pegged at 1500 by 90 MPH, but like today made a run at 57 PSI and the gauge hung around 1350 and the smoke was gone at boost, outside temp was say 60, baro was high 30. 00+(low pressure altitude) and elev is 1291 here. Two things I noticed are, EGT's are over rated and fuel is low for my application, so Piers is going to get my pump cause I know he will make it shine. I thought about the stupid pump but this is my daily driver and I don't want to break it allot, plus I know I don't have the application to burn all the fuel ( I need ported(or race) head, cam and 70 PSI at least if not more) to burn the fuel. It's all about money and how much we have to spend on our toys. I have very few things to do then I will climb on to a load dyno here in OKC and run the numbers and post them. I wanted to say thanks to those who asked questions at the rally about twice turbo's, you guys are asking the right questions and are giving little guys like me a shot at recognition for our work.

P. S. I'll always answer you questions and keep my hood open.

that t88 is cost prohibitive aint it. :(

well, a Turbonetics T88 with a 3. 63/3. 98 turbine and a 1. 15 A/R housing with a NewGen Wastgate would sure be fun... ... total cost for both goodies is $3195

I am researching a Mitsubishi TD08H now... . but I think it is to small.

Diesel Freak, I'm not even close to $ that in my Twins. I said along time ago that some people are try to earn a little money here making Twin Kits so I won't post any figures on the net. I will tell you that if someone called me and said here is my truck make it happen the labor bill would be high. I would like to ride in a Twin truck that uses a HX-40 or a B1 as the primary and see what the difference is. I don't need anymore air but I will end up buying a PDR 35/18 before it's all over as I know it would spool as good as mine does and would have lower back pressure.

Yep, it gets spendy. I am just doing it for S&G's. The HY35 Hybrid I am having built is a little spendy also... . outsourcing something like this is a bit of a PITA.

oh well, it's only money;)
