With 90hp DDP injectors, a 62-14 is a perfect match for towing or racing. . My truck is running low 12's at 110 mph with this setup and a completely stock CP3. . Diesel only...
you throw towing in the mix, I gotta give the vote for twins
the silver bullet is awesome, but you're going to have to keep it wound up pretty tight to tow with it... you might consider a silver 62 and then using it on top of a set of twins later
I would like to get twins but they are out of the budget for now. I was thinking of getting a Silver Bullet first and the adding another turbo later. I don't tow with this truck very often ,but when I do I don't want to have alot of problems.
On my racer our origonal plans were for a super badazz twin combination, but after some exciting new developments happening at the ever busy INDUSTRIAL INJECTION, Shane, Brady and I decided to try out this new SUPER BAD AZZSingle -that the Gods at II have just put the finishing touches on.
We are expecting some very exciting results!!!!! Look out 7'sOo. Oo. Oo.
Shane and I were discussing that same turbo about a month ago. But I told him I would have to refrain for a little bit. Besides according to the rules for our local Diesel race assoc (ODRA); I'm steel legal for Hot Street class since I'm running a a single turbo not larger than a 2. 8" inducer.
But, I might be doing a bit of testing on itHe said somebody with a racer was interested in one. But they wanted to do some 5K RPM testing. I told him, I'm game for it.
The pics of that charger are BADDDDD!!!!!

After talking to II, and HTT I fell pretty confident that having a 6 spd will help with surging issues... I dont tow often, maybe once amonth about 300 miles or so with about 16,000 lbs... I will be buying the silverbullet soon, and II has a new mod that they do to the turbo to help with surging issues. . I will let yall know how it does...
That is one big single Wes has there for sure!
Just did an upgrade to a Silver Bullet after running my SPS 66 for 2. 5 years, we'll see how that works out.

Do not confuse boost pressure with lbs/min of air. My SPS 62/K31 combo makes 64psi of boost at 500 hp. My SPS/B2+ makes 670 at 63psi. Much more air, 1psi less boost. Same 32psi on primaries. The only air you actually get to the motor is what the primary is putting out. The top charger helps get the bottom going, and then basicly gets in the way.
