Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) two codes - need help please

Have two codes coming up - P1693 which is Companioin mode A fault has been generated in the companion engine control mode; and the second is

P0336 which is crankshaft position sensor signal, problem with voltage signal from crankshaft. Does anyone have any information on how to fix these problems? thanks

clean sensor connections and clear codes then if code persists change sensor.
