"Gee, what if a fellar is old, foolish, and a curmudgeon to boot?"
HEY! *I* represent that description!
:-laf
But I keep trying to work on it and smooth off the rough edges...
And, Bighammer - I seriously doubt ANY here were pointing fingers at YOU - and yes, the diversity of members CAN and SHOULD be an asset and not a problem. I hafta admit that this board DOES run on a pretty even keel - and it's FAR better when members police and control themselves, than for the moderators to be forced to step in and separate the offenders - that most always creates cries of "Censorship" and other ugly comments.
I've gotten hot under the collar a few times myself - as a manager of a pretty large business before retirement, I'm far more accustomed to being listened to than abusively challenged - so baseless criticism poorly dished out is sorta hard to accept gracefully - but keep it clean, and we can discuss, debate, and learn a great deal!
We CAN all learn - and SOMETIMES the lesson can come from very (seemingly) inexperienced and unexpected sources.
