Has anybody used the Velet Ride Shackles or the Sulastic Rubber spring shackles to smooth the ride of the Dodge Diesels, in particular, a 1997 2500 4x4 club cab? If so, any comments on which one is better.

Thanks,

Jim

I installed Velvet rides when the truck was nearly new, maybe 500 miles on the clock? My wife said she could tell a definite improvement, which confirmed my assessment. They have held up all these years, still on the truck. I have never heard of the Sulastic, can't provide any input there. Are Velvet rides still being made?

According to the internet, yes. I also installed the Velvet ride shackles on my truck after about a year so they are 15 yrs old and the rubber is shot. The Sulastic rubber shackles look more robust. I had never heard of them either until I saw an ad in a diesel magazine and then saw them online. They cost more so I'm wondering if they are worth it or not. Thanks for the response.
