I am going to replace the u-joints on the my front drive shaft on my '03. Any ideas on a good heavy duty greasable joint, or should I just go to NAPA? I use the 4 wheel drive a lot in the winter with all the snow we get so I would like a joint that will last.

I'm running Precision 464's. I like Precision, but can't point to any specific reason why.

On edit - oh, you mean the drive shaft, not the axle shafts. Sorry, the 464 is for the axle shaft. I've got Precision 254 and 234 "Super Strength" joints ready to go when my factory ones fail. The Super Strength models are nice, because the grease fitting is in one of the caps (where it ought to be!).

When you install them, remember to pump them with grease until it oozes from ALL 4 caps.

I just put Precision Super Strength greasable u-joints on both front and rear driveshafts back in December and no problems. Front driveshaft at the axle is a Precision 235 and 2 Precision 270's for the double cardan. Might also be a good idea to replace the the ball socket in the double cardan while you're at. The rear driveshaft takes 3 Precision 295A's ( if you have the 2 piece shaft).
