New winter front issue?

I just bought a new 3g Iphone. It has v2. 0. 2 (5c1) on it and it doesn't work at all with the Uconnect system in my truck. My old samsung phone worked just fine.

From a google search it looks like I am not the only one. As far as I can tell, most folks can't seem to get an iphone to work with uconnect if they have v2. 0. 1 or higher installed?

According to the dodge Uconnect website... only the iphone version V1. 4. something works with Uconnect.

I like the iphone and could find myself addicted to it. But, not for $300 for the phone and a ton of hoops to jump through when I want to use it in the truck. I can get the phone to work with the motorola ear piece I have, but not the truck.

Anyone else have this issue?

No such luck

I spoke with apple tech support today. The guy on the phone said that all he can say is that they know there is a problem. A new software update for the phone is due out in September to address a bunch of bugs... but has no way of knowing if that will address the problems with Uconnect.

He did say that even folks with 2009 chrysler vehicles can't use the iphone bluetooth with uconnect. Not sure if I'll put my faith that apple will get it fixed. I'd hate to be stuck with a $300 phone that doesn't work with the factory hands free system in the truck (especially since it is now illegal to drive and talk on the phone unless using hands free here in CA).

I have the first version of the IPHONE, and it works with the UCONNECT on my wifes Jeep just fine. Perhaps it is a software problem with the newere version IPHONE.

I've got the 2nd gen iPhone and after the update (2. 0 I think) I lost the UConnect capability. I also called the apple tech and they told me the same thing they told Sam. I like the iPhone too much and I think that apple will get it fixed soon.

Yeah, that is what the tech support guy said. Version 2. 0 killed bluetooth for Chrysler products unless you have the MyGig system (which can be updated by the user). I have version 2. 0. 2 on my phone... so at least two updates so far and it hasn't been fixed. I do like the phone. . but...

Seems to connect super quick every time for me (with the 2. 1 Version). Even has a signal and battery strength meter display on the Nav unit when using.

My 2011 430 radio and Uconnect does not work with my new (a month old), Iphone 4s, on Version 6. 1 software. The Chrysler help web site people said no support, no date, just no support. Another expensive option that is useless, I liked uconnect with my older Motorola Razor, now history.
