Toolman,

I'll be down there in 16 days (go to school in Prescott) and am going to give them a visit sometime during the week after I get there... I might suggest you hold out a couple more weeks, as I'm looking into getting a deal on a "bulk" purchase of the bars... don't want to say "group buy" as I don't know what the company will think of that sort of a thing... will post more when I get there.

Josh

TTT, I talked with them tonight about some link arms for my truck to move the axle back to stock position. Might try that old fashioned thing called a telephone.

DT

One thing is for sure, good trac bar but poor customer service. And just to add to those of you purchasing the links and shock kit, first off the shock kit will not work for our tucks, the design is poor. I had to send mine back and they did'nt even refund what I paid for them and I paid the return shipping. Also on the links make sure you specify what year truck over and over because they based there design on a 99 which is different than 00-02, the sleeves are bigger on the 00-02 than the 99 and the bolts won't fit. So make sure you get the right sleeves. They expected me to drill out my sleeves but you would need a pretty big press for that. They had to make me some and send them to me. About calling them on the phone you just have to call over and over until someone finally answers, don't count on a call back within a week or so. Good luck.

And let me add one more thing here because I notice some people here freak out sometimes... ... . this was just my experience maybe they were having a bad couple months there during my dealing with them. Thanks nothing personnel.

I put my DT trac bar on yesterday. What an improvement! As far as customer service goes, I called them with an order on Saturday, I wasn't sure if they were even open then, and received my bar on Wednesday. Very fast shipping. No problems whatsoever.

Mike

I too had a very good experience with them. They actually shipped my bar 2-day without charging me the extra shipping because I told them I needed it by the weekend.

I understand everyone has different experiences, this is just mine

SKJ adjustable Trac Bar

Just curious has anyone used the adjustable Skyjacker Trac bar? I saw it recently on a site and it appeared the upper bracket was pretty stout, If I remember correctly it has a range of 2. 5"lift to 5" lift. It had a heim on one end and sleeved bushing on the other just like DT's. I think the price was around $250. I'll try and find the picture again and post.

Wow... i never knew...

that Skyjacker had a trackbar kit for anything smaller than a 4. 5 inch lift. Is it truly adjustable? Must be if it supports 2. 5" to 5" of lift.

Someone has GOT to install one and report back. At $200 clams, that beats the socks off the $330+ DT bar... but the question is... is it just as good?

I'd love to hear a report from anyone who has D25 springs or similar and puts one of these bars on.

I just bought D25's and Bilsteins and know the bar will have to be replaced soon after installation with something. I presumed DT, but would go with SkyJacker if the thing lasts!!

I've been trying to contact DT too. After about a week, I was successful yesterday. Their secretary quit and they can't hear the main line in the shop. If you get anybody live it's by luck. I'm thinking about their dual shock kit and trailing arms.

What's the word on the dual shock kit? They tell me they'll fab a new ring with studs as I have D25 coils and when I put in their plate the bolts won't be long enough. I like those arms, but can't decide on the shock set-up. Do you need a custum-tuned shock for the dual set-up? If you run two shocks valved alike and tuned for the weight, won't that be too much and make the ride worse? Thanks.

Ive left SEVRAL messages and emailed too. That is a poor excuse.

What the secretary leaves and buisness grinds to a halt? Oh well She left lets close our doors and stop orders. Skyjacker is my deal now.

Hey, I think it's a poor excuse too. I'm just reporting to the forum what the man told me. Hope you like red powdercoating! Even though my truck is PR4 Flame Red, that's my main gripe with the SJ stuff... everything is red. Also, I'm told that you have to get the single or double flex arms to push the axle back to the center of the wheel well, the regular no-flex arms are no longer than stock.

I'm already planning on doing that, the lower double flex arms are 419. 00 a pair, and the upper flex arms are 399. 00, and www.jackit.com has the best price on those as well that I've seen. National tire and wheel wanted 1100. 00 for uppers and lower, and Sam's Offroad in Tulsa, Ok. wanted 900. 00 for the upper and lowers, and Rocky Mountain Suspension wanted somewhere between NTW and Sam's prices. Needless to day, I've been calling around everywhere getting prices on Control Arms, Trackbars, and the Interco Trxus MT 35x12. 50x16 tires (sam's is beating the others prices).

That is some serious coin, my friend. I know you've done your homework, but just so everybody else is straight, DT sells both the upper and lower that will center the axle for $275. No flex, of course, but that's their deal. Are you concerned about durability with all that flexin' going on? I looked at those and thought they may feel too squirmy under the CTD.

Now, how about my dual shock set-up inquiry earlier? Any thoughts?
